“ First time at Viaggio, and it was amazing! We were seated on time the decor, and atmosphere was lovely. Drinks were on point. Whiskey sour was delicious. We started with the Caesar salad to share, and it was great. For appetizers we ordered clams, and shrimp, and they were very tasty. For dinner we ordered vodka cream with shrimp, and it was outstanding. One of the best I've tasted. We also ordered veal Parmesan and it had the perfect touch of crispy, and deliciousness. Also ordered the braised beef pasta which was very good. If you're a sweets kind of person, the cannolis we're outstanding. Look forward to coming back for the vodka cream, and tasting other dishes. . ”
“ If you’re in the mood for some solid Italian food, Viaggio Restaurant in Chicago is worth a visit. A foodie friend recommended it, and it did not disappoint. I went with the daily special fish, and it was a great choice. It came as a fillet, lightly breaded and served with a creamy lemon sauce. The fish was super fresh, and the lemony sauce gave it a nice, bright flavor. It felt light but still satisfying, and I could tell it was made with fresh ingredients. My friend ordered the chicken parmigiana, and it was huge! A big, crispy piece of chicken topped with marinara and gooey melted cheese — the kind of comfort food that hits just right. You can tell they take their time with the cooking here because everything tasted homemade. ”
“ Fantastic! The food was absolutely outstanding. The calamari was the best I’ve had, and the linguine with clams was so fresh and flavorful. The linguine carbonara and tiramisu were also incredible, and the complimentary fresh bread, oil, and parmesan were a perfect touch. On top of that, I had the best martini ever—the Lemon Drop! Our amazing experience was made even better by Marco, our waiter. I can’t wait to return because of the beautiful atmosphere and decor. ”
“ We have wanted to go here for the last couple of years, and my husband surprised me with a Friday night reservation. What a great surprise, I just wish we had come sooner! Very nice atmosphere with cozy booths by the bar. Service was top-notch. The food was amazing! As you might see from my pictures, my husband had the Linguine and Clams, and I had Chicken Marsala. The dinner was finished off with a lovely Limoncello. We look forward to going back, sooner than later! ”
“ The atmosphere was amazing with slow songs playing in the background. I am a vegetarian and normally restricted with options, but we loved the spicy red pasta and added vegetables. They have a vegan friendly pasta too. I was surprised by the staff with a song and cake on my birthday. ”
“ Gorgeous decoration inside! Though spaghetti carbonara was lack of favor, the portion was quite generous. I was full after having spaghetti carbonara. The server told me that we two could order one dessert because the portion could be huge...this was my first time hearing this and you could see he was correct as the Strawberry Cake shows below. The stacked eggplant was tender and cooked to the point. ”
“ Fantastic little Italian spot. If you can’t go to Monteverde this place holds its own and is just across the street. Arrabiata pasta was fantastic with fennel sausage. Bread, oil and peppers before was great too. First rate Chicago Italian restaurant! ”
“ We had an excellent meal yesterday at Viaggio. Our bartender and our server were both attentive and helpful in helping us navigate the menu and options. The atmosphere at Viaggio just feels like Home, and I'm looking forward to more time spent there. ”
